All grown up!

The day finally arrived when the new birds finally assumed their adorable furry-feathery form. Looking like angels in their nest, the soft white little newborns were beautiful to behold.

For us, it was the end of a journey which had brought so much nostalgia and excitement into our lives! For them, this marked the beginning of a new journey and the time to finally escape the protective confines of their nest to venture out into the world..!

New Additions!

The day we were all waiting for finally arrived!! The eggs hatched!

We could see the tiny helpless little babies, featherless and hungry. The sight was breath-taking!

Huddling close, pink all over, it was hard to believe these babies would one day be what their parents are now!

Song birds :)

After a long time of reclusive evasion, our feathery parents finally came out of hiding. Maybe it had something to with the dish of grains in the balcony garden. Whatever it was, the bird were more lens-friendly. we even caught a few notes of music trailing it's way into the living room from the balcony one day. It was time to be friends :)

The welcoming dish of grains..

A visitor :)

In a musical mood!

Caught in the act!

The Shy One

Well, we continued to track the progress of the siblings. But the parents seemed elusive. Very rarely, our lens captured the shy ones peeking coyly at the lens. Mostly resting, our out hunting, the parents sure gave us a run of the camera each time we sensed their presence!

Can you spot them??

A Closer Look

A rare opportunity arose when the parents where away, scavenging for food. We got a closer look at the speckled eggs. It was hard to believe that the hard pebble like eggs were bustling with activity inside, slowly growing..

The Most Curious Thing

In the utility of a house, nestled in the suburbs of Hyderabad, a tiny bird-couple found refuge to nest and lay their eggs. The idea of a home in a home was intriguing at first. But soon, the unexpected visitors, made themselves at home. Having laid two beautiful eggs, the birds stayed the highlight of our days for so long that we decided to keep a lens-eye out for them!
